Agriculture Trends in Western Wisconsin on The West Side May 14

RIVER FALLS - The upcoming growing season for farmers in western Wisconsin will be the topic of discussion on The West Side Monday, May 14 at 10 a.m. on 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls.
 
Jerry Clark, crops and soils educator for UW-Extension in Chippewa County; Jim Holte, president of Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation; and Darin Von Ruden, president of Wisconsin Farmers Union, will join host Rich Kremer to discuss this year’s agricultural trends. They will also talk about some of the challenges and expectations of the upcoming growing season, the effect of prices on production and the impacts of trade on western Wisconsin farmers.
