RIVER FALLS - Prescott High School's Boys and Girls Track and Field Team took part in the New Richmond Invitational held indoors at the Knowles Center on the campus of UW-River Falls.
PHS placed fourth out of six teams in both the girls and boys team standings and had several top three showings.
Cody Hauenstein won the 800-meter run in 2:13.86 and helped the Cards' 3200-meter relay team win first in 9:26.22. Joining with Hauenstein were fellow juniors Josh Dickey and Trevor Rein and senior Phil Pena.
Westy Bartch won the shot put with a toss of 46 feet, five inches and Prescott's Chase Ziement placed second in the triple jump.
Winning events in the girls' portion of the meet for PHS were Alysse Lewis in the triple jump with a leap of 31-6 and the Cards' 3200-meter relay team was also victorious in a time of 10:58.94. Team members were juniors Hayley Hillman, Kjerstin Carlson, Mari Sommer and senior Sam Ritter.
PHS will be back in action in their first outdoor meet April 6 at St. Croix Central
