Artists needed for gallery display at Freedom Park

Calling all artists!

The Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center at Freedom Park in Prescott is seeking local artists to exhibit their artwork during the months of April, July, August, September, and October of 2017. Limited spaces are available.

A current exhibit titled “Vegetables Become a Sustainable Love Story” is on display at the Learning Center until April 2. It features a unique collaboration between local poet Bob Samarotto and local artist Patrice Avon Marvin.

“Generally most of our artists have some connection to the natural world,” said Jessica Bierbrauer, the director of the GRRVLC. “So we try to stick with artists who are inspired by nature and often those things deal with land, water, and sky.”

Artists usually come from a 70-mile radius including Prescott, Hastings, River Falls, Hudson, and Afton.
