PHS girls' hoopsters break losing streak by beating Spring Valley

SPRING VALLEY - The Prescott High School girls' basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak after beating Spring Valley Thursday evening 42-32.

Prescott led SV 29-25 with nine minutes to go in the second half when the outscored the home team 11-1 and led by as much as 14 points.

Heather Furlong scored 14 points to lead Prescott and Kelsey Penk had her best game on offense this season with a 10-point effort.

PHS improves to 3-4 overall and is off until Jan. 3 when they host Somerset.
