Oak Grove Town Board puts off discussion, action on proposed gun range

OAK GROVE TWP. - The Oak Grove Township Board will have to wait another month to take up the question of a proposed gun range to be located on 620th Ave., near the City of Prescott’s Compost Site.

A two and a half hour meeting of the township’s planning commission held last week Thursday, Oct. 13 on the proposed gun range without any recommendation for the full board, means the question will have to come up again at the township board’s November meeting, scheduled for the 21st. “We just felt it was best with all the information given and all the discussion points made, it was better just to wait and sift through it, study and consider until next month’s meeting,” Oak Grove Town Clerk Dan Reis said.

This was the second time the question of the gun range was postponed. It was also on the September board agenda as well before being put back to October to allow the planning commission the opportunity to take it up this month.
