The new head wrestling coach at Prescott High School is Jordan Poirier. He was hired by the Prescott School Board during its monthly meeting Wednesday evening.
Poirier is a former state high school champion at Bloomer in 2009, winning 130 matches in his high school career. He wrestled at UW-Stevens Point in college and has been an assistant at Bloomer the past three seasons. The PHS wrestling season begins on Nov. 14 with the first day of practice.
