'Robin Hood - tales of Ye Merry Woods' this year's Prescott Daze play

This year’s Prescott Daze play put on by the Prescott High School Drama Club and the summer drama program through Prescott Community Education is “Robin Hood – Tales from Ye Merry Woods”.

The play will perform twice this weekend both days on the stage at the Prescott Middle School gymnasium. Friday, Sept. 9th’s show time is at 4 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 10’s show time is at 1:15 p.m. All seats are $5.

Play director Diana Champlin said the story of Robin Hood was something the drama club members and students have been wanting to do for some time. They have been practicing their lines, building sets and putting together costumes all summer in preparation for their Prescott Daze performance.

“It’s a script that’s been we’ve been interested in,” Champlin said. “We had the opportunity to perform it this year. The kids read through the script and liked it. I think they like the Renaissance time period the story takes place in along with the sword fighting as well.”
