Prescott Journal readers can consult a handy insert schedule in this week’s print edition which is on newsstands now with times and dates of all the activities throughout the weekend. The Prescott Daze website at www.prescottdaze.com also has a list of the activities for the weekend along with dates and times.
The weekend won’t be all festivities as the 15th anniversary of 9-11 will be on Sunday. Festival organizers ask that everyone pause and give thanks to the men and women in service from the military, fire fighters, police, first responders, all those in service to their communities who have given so much. Such persons will be honored as they march through the course of the annual Prescott Daze parade.
This year’s parade begins at 2 p.m. The parade begins at the corner of Canton and Albert streets and follows a route from Albert to Cherry to South streets. This year’s Prescott Daze Grand Marshal is long-time community volunteer (particularly with Prescott Daze activities) Mike Meier. He recent received the Most Honored Senior Citizen Award at this year’s Pierce County Fair.
The Prescott Fire Department is sponsoring a whole bevy of activities all through the weekend at the Fire Hall. Check the schedule for a list of activities plus dates and times.
