New Prescott Hall of Fame inducts inaugural class

The first group of inductees for the new Prescott Hall of Fame were honored at a banquet held in the commons area of the new Prescott High School Saturday evening.

Their plaques were put on a wall just outside of the new school's gymnasium and each inductee or the family member representing them received a plaque as well.

The inductees were Dorothy Ahlgren, Mary Cotter Beeler, Kay Oys Harris, Howard "Doc" Laney, Bernie Lepley, Mike Ptacek and Nicholas M. Johnson.  Representing Harris was her daughter Elise Block Representing Laney was his son Bill and representing Lepley was his daughter Lisa Lepley Boyer.

"What they have done for our community warrants this recognition," PHS teacher and member of the Hall of Fame Committee Jeff Ryan. He was the MC for the program.
