TRIMBELLE - A car-motorcycle accident in Trimbelle Township Sunday resulted in a fatality.
Sometime around 4 p.m. a 1969 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Michael Edward Joyce, 64, Vadnais Heights, Minn. was traveling eastbound on Hwy. 10 when he reportedly stopped to make turn at a residence on Hwy. 10. A Honda CR-V, driven by Mary Armstrong, 54, Beldenville, was also traveling eastbound on Hwy. 10. The Honda reportedly struck the rear of the motorcycle, causing Joyce to be ejected from the vehicle.
Ellsworth Ambulance arrived to provide medical care but Joyce was pronounced dead at the scene. Armstrong was transported and later released from the River Falls Area Hospital.
Also assisting the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office at the scene was the Ellsworth Fire Department, Ellsworth Ambulance, and Pierce County Highway Department.
The motor vehicle crash still remains under investigation by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
