There’s just no quit in these Prescott Pirates.
For the second time in two days, the Pirates came from behind late in the game to pull out another dramatic victory.
The most current come-from-behind win took place against Menomonie on Sunday, June 5 at Firehall Field. Trailing 5-2, the Pirates rallied for a 6-5 victory. The day before Prescott rallied to beat Ellsworth 4-2.
Prescott’s wins improved the team’s record to an impressive 7-1 overall.
“It seems like most of our wins this year have been come from behind,” said pitcher Eric Monson, who led the Pirates to the victory over Menomonie last Sunday. “We’ve got some scrappy players and the guys know how to get it done in late innings.”
