PHS athletes to compete in WIAA State Track and Field Meet this weekend

LA CROSSE - Prescott High School will bring  a sizeable contingent of  athletes down to Veterans Memorial Stadium on the UW- La Crosse campus this weekend for the 121st boys' and 46th girls' WIAA State Track and Field Meet.

Competition for PHS begins at 3 p.m. on Friday and 10:30 a.m on Saturday. Competing Friday will be 3200-meter relay for girls' which includes team members Sam Ritter, Molly Sweet, Annika Carlson and Hailey Hillman, Kjerstin Carlson and Alysse Lewis; Nolan Schock in the 800-meter run and Jennifer Kleinschmidt in the 100-meter high hurdles in preliminary races

Comepting on Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m. will be the boys' 3200-meter relay team of Schock, Phillip Pena, Cody Hauenstein and Bobby Barksdale. Also competing is Sweet in the 1600-meter run and Schock and Kleinschmidt if they make the finals of their respective events.

Tickets are $8 per session and $12 for both sessions Friday if purchased at the stadium. Tickets maybe ordered online at the WIAA's webpage at www.wiaawi.org.
