CENTRAL - The Prescott High School track and field team took first place in the girls' team standings at the Early Bird Invitational Meet at Eleva-Strum High School in Central yesterday afternoon.
The Cardinals scored 132 points, well ahead of Altoona's 91 points and Cadott's 65.
Winning individual events for PHS were the 3200-meter relay in 11:01; Jennifer Kleinschmidt in both the 100-meter high and 300-meter low hurdles; the 1600-meter relay team in 4:34.7; Alysse Lewis in the triple jump with a leap of 31-6 and Annika Carlson in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:38.9.
Prescott placed sixth out of the 12 teams competing in the boys' team standings. The Cards' 3200-meter relay team also won first place in a time of 9:05 and Nolan Shock won the 800-meter run in 2:10.6.
