Prescott Police Chief Gary Krutke spoke before the April meeting of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce Wednesday, a noon luncheon held a Carbone's Pizzeria in Prescott.
Krutke was speaking on the drug trafficking problem in Prescott and announced that the Prescott PD had arrested two males the PD believed to be dealers Wednesday morning.
The two males arrested were Todd Bellamy, 44, of St. Paul Park and Scott Starfield of Lake Elmo, Minn., also 44. Both were taken into custody to the Pierce County Jail in Ellsworth. They were arrested for possession of methamphetamines, THC and drug paraphernalia.
Krutke also announced that the PD had recovered a ledger from another investigation of a drug dealer which believes has person contacts for persons throughout the region from Prescott to Ellsworth to River Falls and Red Wing.
"It's in code but we believe its a significant find and one which can connect to a lot of cases and people involved in the trade." Krutke said.
More on Krutke's speech and the Chamber meeting can be found in next week's Prescott Journal, on newsstand's Wednesday.
