Searches continuing for missing Pierce County woman

Organized searches of southern and southwestern Pierce County, Pepin County, Red Wing, Minn. and the Mississippi River area are taking place by family members and friends of Marya Ann Christiansen, 23 of Hager City. She was reported missing as of Saturday.

Christiansen, a mother of two boys, was reportedly returning from a party in Red Wing to her home on CTH. OO early Saturday morning when she did not turn up. A missing person's alert was then sent out by the Pierce County's Sheriff's Department.

Friends and family have been conducting searches of the area -  using the Red Wing American Legion Post as organizing area along with the Bluff's Bar and Grill in Hager City - as are local authorities from the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, Goodhue County, Minn. Sheriff's Department and the Red Wing Police. Aerial flyovers and water searches have reportedly been conduct this past weekend along with review of surveillance video tapes. No new leads have been discovered as of yet.

According to the missing person's alert, Christiansen was last seen driving a white 2006 Dodge Caravan bearing Wisconsin plates 443-VPF. The van is reported to have a large dent in the front driver’s side fender and the rear passenger side taillight area. She is described as Christiansen as being about 5 foot 2 and 150 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a red short-sleeve shirt, black leggings and black boots.
