MADISON - Steve Peterson, a guidance counselor at Prescott High School, received the State Counselor of the Year award from the Wisconsin Association of School Counselors (WASC) Wednesday at their annual state-wide conference.
Peterson received the award for the high school level. He was nominated by PHS Principal Dave Vorthems along with Dr. Mark Gillen, a psychology teacher at UW-River Falls.
Peterson was also a present at a seminar during the conference as well.
