Prescott boys' basketball team routs Somerset 66-34

The No. 5 ranked Prescott High School Boys' Basketball team was back in the win column Friday after a 66-34 Middle Border Conference win over Somerset at home.

PHS had four players in double figures again as Peter Brookshaw led the team in scoring with 17 points while Keegan Nielsen and Owen Hamilton both scored 15 points and Mike Harris finished with 12.

The Cardinals, 8-1 overall and 5-0 in the MBC, held the Spartans, 1-4 in the conference and 2-7 overall, to just 10 points in the first half.

"We worked a lot on our help-side defense and overall communication on defense before tonight's game and we showed a lot of improvements in those areas," PHS head coach Nick Johnson said.

Prescott has now won 22 straight MBC contests. They have a tough non-conference game upcoming Tuesday evening at River Falls.
