ELLSWORTH - The Prescott High School girls' basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak with a win over Hwy. 10 rival Ellsworth Thursday evening.
The Cardinals won 47-36 to even their Middle Border Conference record to 3-3 and make their overall record 3-6.
PHS led at halftime 27-19. The winless Panthers came within three points at 29-26 with over 10 minutes left in the ballgame but no closer thanks to a game-best 15-point effort by freshman guard Heather Furlong while sophomore teammate Kate Miller was also in double figures for the Cards with 13 points.
Prescott's next ballgame is next Tuesday at St. Croix Central.
