Playing one of their best halves of basketball all season so far, the Prescott High School girls took a 15-point lead at halftime over Osceola 33-18 and held onto it in the second half for a 49-37 win Friday.

PHS won their first home game this season and improved to 2-4 overall, 2-2 in the Middle Border Conference before the Holiday break.

The Cardinals finished the game with three players in double figures. Freshmen Heather Furlong and Alli Murphy finished with 16 and 10 points respectively while senior Jennifer Kleinschmidt scored 11 points. Sophomore Kate Miller finished with six points.
