The Prescott School Board would like to put a district-wide referendum on a revenue-cap override on the Feb. 16 election ballot.
At Wednesday's monthly board meeting, members decided to schedule a special meeting on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Prescott High School Library to draw up and hear public input on the referendum before voting to put it on the ballot.
District Superintendent Dr. Richard Spicuzza stated to the board that an ad hoc committee of community members and school board members has determined a revenue cap override referendum is needed.
Board members will hear the referendum proposal from this committee at a board finance committee meeting on Dec. 1, also at 6 p.m. in the PHS Library.
