Prescott spikers down Ellsworth 3-1, win share of MBC title

The Prescott High School volleyball team clinched a share of the Middle Border Conference title Thursday evening with a 3-1 match win over Hwy. 10 rival Ellsworth at Prescott.

Game scores were 25-13 Cardinals, 21-25, 25-20 and 25-16. PHS goes to 6-0 in the MBC and 35-5 overall. The title is Prescott's second in a row, third since 2012 and fourth in the school history.

Lily Weiser, who it announced yesterday accepted a scholarship offer to MSU-Moorhead to play collegiate volleyball, led the Cards with 12 kills. Gabby Janovec had a team-high 11 blocks, Ashley Perry had four aces and Alexis Maxwell had 17 assists.

Prescott will competed at the La Crosse Logan Invitational on Saturday and wraps-up the regular season Tuesday at home vs. Amery.
