The Prescott School District Board approved both the 2015-2016 budget and the proposed moving plan of students at their monthly meeting Wednesday evening. Both votes were unanimous.
The budget came out to $14,748,165.00 with a tax levy of $8,7215,836.00 and a mill rate of 12.18, which is down from last year's budget.
The student movement plan was discussed at the September meeting and calls for keeping the middle school in tact, making Malone Elementary School a K-2 facility and using the old high school as a 3-6 grade or "intermediate elementary school". All of these changes will begin with the 2016-17 school year when the new high school is complete.
