The Prescott High School football team was battered for the third straight time, losing 49-10 to Osceola Friday evening in its Homecoming game at Laney Field.
The Chieftains were led by junior running back Ethan Ellingsworth, who scored four touchdowns. After a competitive first quarter, Osceola, 5-0 in the Middle Border Conference and 6-1 overall, took control in the second by scoring three touchdowns for s 35-3 halftime lead.
Osceola will play No. 3 ranked St. Croix Central for the conference championship next Friday. Both teams are unbeaten in league play.
The Cardinals only points came from a 23-yard field goal from Gabe Diaz in the first quarter and a 65-yard TD run by Nolan Schock in the fourth quarter. Schock led the Cards' in rushing.
PHS drops to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in the MBC. But they can still make the playoffs by winning their final two ballgames starting with Baldwin-Woodville next Friday at Laney Field.
